Inscribed on one face within a moulded panel (die, w: 1.18 x h: 0.35). 
Letters:
Rustic capitals: l. 1, 0.08-0.09; ll. 2-3, 0.06-0.07. 
Date:
Second to third century A.D. (lettering) 
Findspot:
Lepcis Magna: Wadi Lebdah, found on the East bank of the together with a large number of architectural and other fragments, apparently collected there for use in a tower of the fourth century wall.

Translation:

To Lucius Avillius Marsus, son of Caius Avillius Castus, of the Roman voting tribe Quirina; with the whole city calling for it the city council decreed a two-horse chariot; his father, satisfied with the honour, erected it at his own expense to a most dutiful son.
