To a man outstanding in virtue, admirable for equity, restrained in his discretion, defender of justice, protector of the innocent, Flavius Macedonius Patricius, splendid man <supplied reason="explanation">of senatorial status</supplied>, count and governor of the province of Tripolitania; the splendid city council and the whole people of the city of Lepcis Magna decreed <supplied reason="subaudible">this</supplied> and set it up to a worthy patron.</p></div>
